Impressions/Ideas/Challenges.

Holiday Revue available in 2-part, SAB and SATB. I loved how flexible this revue was. I could cut pieces and parts without it affecting the story line, because thereโ€™s no script. Itโ€™s simply a revue. If you want to create a simple story line or narration to go along with each tune, it would be quite easy!

Scenery:  None required

Props: None required

Costumes:  None Requiredโ€ฆ.I did add some novelty with a โ€œFrosty the Snowmanโ€ character.

Individual Song Information/Suggestions:

Forever Christmas: One of only two non-traditional Christmas tunes in the entire show.

Rockinโ€™ Around the Christmas Tree: Medley of โ€œOh Christmas Tree,โ€ โ€œRockinโ€™ Around the Christmas Tree,โ€ โ€œDeck the Hall,โ€ โ€œJolly Old St. Nicholas,โ€ โ€œAll I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth,โ€ โ€œNuttinโ€™ for Christmas,โ€ and โ€œSanta Claus is Cominโ€™ to Town,โ€ There are two solo opportunities!

Still, Still, Still: Partner song with the Christmas lullaby โ€œSleep, Sleep, Sleep.โ€ With the amount of songs in place, I cut the ending, right before the key change.

A Celebrity Christmas: Medley of โ€œFrosty the Snowman,โ€ โ€œBlue Christmas,โ€ Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,โ€ โ€œJingle, Jingle, Jingle,โ€ โ€œSuzy Snowflake,โ€ and โ€œJingle Bells.โ€ This is where I added the Frosty Character. Suzy gets a solo!

Caroling We Go: Medley of โ€œA Caroling We Go,โ€ โ€œJoy to the World,โ€ โ€œHark! The Herald Angels Sing,โ€ and โ€œSilent Night.โ€ Sing-along opportunity for audience members if you choose!

Christmas Is: Medley of โ€œChristmas Is,โ€ โ€œWinter Wonderland,โ€ โ€œLet It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,โ€ โ€œThe Christmas Waltz,โ€ โ€œThe Chipmunk Song,โ€ โ€œUp on the Housetop,โ€ โ€œJingle-Bell Rock,โ€ and โ€œA Holly Jolly Christmas.โ€ There are four short solo opportunities, three additional much LARGER solo opportunities. You could add an air guitar solo as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Home for the Holidays: Medley of โ€œ(Thereโ€™s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays,โ€ โ€œThere is No Christmas Like a Home Christmas,โ€ and โ€œIโ€™ll Be Home for Christmasโ€  One solo opportunity…but could be split into TWO in โ€œHome for the Holidays.โ€ Three more solos are featured in โ€œIโ€™ll Be Home for Christmas.โ€

We Wish You a Merry Christmas: Reprise of โ€œForever Christmasโ€ with โ€œWe Wish You a Merry Christmas.โ€
