Impressions/Ideas/Challenges.

Holiday Revue available in 2-part, SAB and SATB. I loved how flexible this revue was. I could cut pieces and parts without it affecting the story line, because there’s no script. It’s simply a revue. If you want to create a simple story line or narration to go along with each tune, it would be quite easy!

Scenery:  None required

Props: None required

Costumes:  None Required….I did add some novelty with a “Frosty the Snowman” character.

Individual Song Information/Suggestions:

Forever Christmas: One of only two non-traditional Christmas tunes in the entire show.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree: Medley of “Oh Christmas Tree,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Deck the Hall,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth,” “Nuttin’ for Christmas,” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” There are two solo opportunities!

Still, Still, Still: Partner song with the Christmas lullaby “Sleep, Sleep, Sleep.” With the amount of songs in place, I cut the ending, right before the key change.

A Celebrity Christmas: Medley of “Frosty the Snowman,” “Blue Christmas,” Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Jingle, Jingle, Jingle,” “Suzy Snowflake,” and “Jingle Bells.” This is where I added the Frosty Character. Suzy gets a solo!

Caroling We Go: Medley of “A Caroling We Go,” “Joy to the World,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” and “Silent Night.” Sing-along opportunity for audience members if you choose!

Christmas Is: Medley of “Christmas Is,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,” “The Christmas Waltz,” “The Chipmunk Song,” “Up on the Housetop,” “Jingle-Bell Rock,” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas.” There are four short solo opportunities, three additional much LARGER solo opportunities. You could add an air guitar solo as well 🙂

Home for the Holidays: Medley of “(There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays,” “There is No Christmas Like a Home Christmas,” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”  One solo opportunity…but could be split into TWO in “Home for the Holidays.” Three more solos are featured in “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”

We Wish You a Merry Christmas: Reprise of “Forever Christmas” with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
