Making Fake Props

Super light and most important…DURABLE, don’t be afraid to create “fake” props for your shows:

Let’s imagine a potato:

• Create the shape of the item with aluminum foil:
• Dip or spray colored tissue paper with liquid starch….SATURATE it! Cover the aluminum foil base with enough layers that you can’t see the aluminum shine anymore.
• Let dry………completely!!!
• Add paint details. If you don’t have the correct color of tissue paper, just paint with acrylic paint to achieve the look you want!

I’ve created vegetables, a turkey for Thanksgiving, insect wings and most recently a rhubarb pie….see image below!
